I was wondering if PVA would add depth to 1/700 etch figures and there's my answer! Building work looks amazing AG, almost ready to move in 😀 I'm sure you can add body to those figures, I have a set too and now I'm thinking of doing just te same with them.

Rust pigments brushed into a (dry) coat of mat clear, now they're fixed. I wanted to add chipped black paint but I like it as it is at the moment.

Looks great like this, will you be adding some rust streaks to the stone underneath it?

Dear chaps, I just couldn't resist pushing the balustrade just one tad further and now I'm looking forward if I did well or not. So what do you think? I gave the balustrade two mists of hairspray and two coats of matt white thinned with tap water. When the paint was dry I brushed on a bit of water to soften the underlaying h/s an then I carefully removed the paint partially with an old brush.

I think it is a matter of the effect you are after.
Now it looks somewhat uncared for! If that is the image you are after.

Happy days thanks to you approving the result guys. The stair railing was done with white glue too and it looks way better if I may say.
