Ok chaps, the tank was given another oil dot treatment and set aside to properly dry. Meanwhile I started with a figure. The Miniart figures look sh*te imo but what can you expect of a 15โฌ set but a lot of scraping, sanding, filing, adapting, amputating, donoring... Figure 1, the .50 cal machine gunner. I'm pretty sure this was the most daring one. It's not finetuned btw, I'll see if I can rework his bottom following the shape of the surface. It's not really necessary though. This is how the figure was composed.

I'm sure that by the time you're finished with him, he'll look like a really expensive figure

Thanks guys, the build of the figures is one thing, the paintjob will be more difficult as the folds of the clothing aren't that sharply sculpted.

Thank you Paul, let's hope you're right. Thank you Ian, the sling was simple to do and it adds more interest to the bag.

This was an easy one. I like his pose, straight from the box but with an old Alpine tanker figure's head.

Jeff,Ian and Tommy are thanked.๐ Figure nยฐ 3 is on its way. It's the assistant driver, which was given a resin head with a tanker helmet built around it. It's a five parts one btw and it caused a not so zen moment on my bench.๐ I still have to fill a tiny gap and the goggles need a strap. The figure itself is lightly converted by giving it a replacement right arm and the arm pit will be filled/re-sculpted as I had to pull the arm away from the shoulder to lay the hand down onto the periscope. The left hand is a floater but I'll put something in it (a photo, a letter, a map...). The driver still needs a bit of tlc as a small gap was spotted.
