Thank you my dear neighbour-bro. Now I'll start the street section, or the house, haven't decided yet.

Ok fellas, I've decided to make a cobblestone street section Italian style for the diorama. I went for the styrofoam method and therefor I made three simple embossing tools from old brushe. These make it easy to press cobbles in the styrofoam. One paper side needs to be peeled off of the panel. I then cut it in the right size and draw a couple of guide lines very subtly onto the foam without pressure on the pencil. The foam board between to sheets of thick paper. The cobble tools. The road in progress. No dust, no messy workbench, it works a treat.

Cool. Are you going to paint each cobblestone individually?

Looks great, I guess the speed of making it is about the same as the real cobbling?

Looks great, I guess the speed of making it is about the same as the real cobbling? Hey Bert, it's a pretty speedy progress once you get the hang of it. I have my first cobbled foam panel finished and I'm happy with it. Tomorrow the street section will be completed.

Thank you fellas. The styrofoam idea isn't mine, neither the modified brush parts for embossing. I'm glad you like the look of it.

Looks absulutely fantastic. It is amazing how you got those cobbles all to fit so neatly, must be a puzzle to end up with getting them to fill it up exactly. Or do you use a toothpick or something like that to turn left over spots into cobbles?

Morning chaps! The cobbles were flattened just a tad (sanded) and given a little texture (copper fibres of a Proxxon bit were softly rolled over the surface in every direction), some cobbles were pushed a bit deeper (I cut a pencil eraser in a square shape for it). The texture in daylight. Pleased with it.
