I’ve been off my modelling game since July, but have had my interest in Miniature/figure painting sparked by the kids interest in some of my old board games from the 1970/80/90s... including Warhammer, Warhammer 40k plus more specialist games like the fantasy football game, Blood Bowl. I’ve dug a whole load of old stuff out of my loft, plus acquired a few new options. I’ve also enjoyed revisiting some of the games with my kids. Blood Bowl has proved very popular with everyone, so teams are slowly being assembled and painted...

First up is a 30 year old Miniature from Citadel Miniatures, which has sat in a box in the loft for at least 25 years!

Start of an Amazons team for My daughter. Resin minis from Sukubus Studios and Black Scorpion Miniatures...

I was given a few freebie minis for a new Games Workshop game, Shadespire... here’s the first one, just playing about with colours and techniques...

I’ll add more as I get chance...

Working on this Space Marine Librarian in Terminator Armour.... the mini is all white metal, from Citadel Miniatures, released in 1988/89. Only taken me until now to start painting it...

I’m not 100% happy with it, but fear if I try and work on it too much I’ll just destroy the work I have done. I’m still having a little trouble with my brush control, but it is improving, the more I do. Working on these 28mm figures makes working on larger stuff much easier, that’s why I’m going to keep doing them. And as with all the minis so far, these are not for showing.

I’ve dug these out of the loft and have started to clean them up, to hopefully create 3 Blood Angel Tactical Squads... these date to 1988/9, they need a bit of work, but they should suffice for bulking out the army!
