They're gonna be cool too Adrian . That reminds me, I got 1/285 Artillery dudes that need painting . That’s just too small... even for me! My eyes have really got bad since the beginning of this year. I’m now supposed to wear glasses all the time.... bloody old age! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That happened to me too, but I get away with just wearing them at work and modelling .

Those look very interesting, BH. How do you paint that white metal? No different to the way I paint plastic.... a good primer, allowed to cure fully, then tickle with the hairy stick or a quick blast with the airbrush. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thank you, Sir. I have a couple of tank kits with white metal lower hulls to do some time. Now I'm ready.

Well, this didn’t quite go to plan.... I had wanted to get one squad assembled tonight ready for priming, however, the prep has taken considerably longer than I was expecting... Each of the boltguns have had their barrels drilled out along with the muzzle break. A depression in the top of each one also needed filling. To fit them to the arms/hands, the trigger and grip plus the stock had to be cut off, with the bottom of the grip being cut and reapplied to the underside of the hand. Each body section, needed mould lines removing along with a general polish to improve the surface texture. The arms were then attached and positioned, using CA glue (plastic to metal). Once set the shoulder pads were added, then the rear packs, making sure the fit covered any gaps at the joints. This all sounds fairly basic and straight forward, but trying to get the guns, arms, pads and backpacks to all sit properly was quite the challenge with my sausage fingers! I have to admit that it did induce a Tourette’s outburst at one stage, although it was only brief. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Didn’t sleep particularly well last night so was up early this morning, took advantage of the peace to finish off the two remaining marines, so we now have a squad. Left them for a couple of hours, whilst the peace was broken by the normal routine of Mrs, kids, school run, etc and the start of the business day. Thankfully I’m waiting on a delivery for the current job before I can proceed, so I took the opportunity to give them a quick coating of black primer... These will be left whilst I carry on with other stuff. I may get the foundation colour in later today...

I managed to get the base colour of Terracotta on and then the top layer of Blood Angels Red. I’ve now started on the squad Sargent, adding the other base colours.... I will do the same to the others then start to add washes, shade, highlights and detailing. More soon...

So I’ve managed to get all the base colours on the whole squad... I’ve tried to keep to the basic Codex for these Blood Angels, partly to allow me to get through them fairly briefly. I will detail up the Sgt. (the one with the black shoulder pads), but the rest will be fairly basic, otherwise I’ll be long dead by the time I get around to finishing the entire army!

I'm pretty sure I remember that strike force box from about 20 years ago.
