Excellent finish, John! This looks outstanding! Thanks Ian !!
Now I'm going to focus on finishing the M1133 and the LVTH6A1, then T-54's.. these are the closest ones to the finish line. I still have a lot of things on the bench.
But I always have a lot of new things waiting impatiently to jump on my bench, some have wheels .... some have tracks... maybe going for another Stryker.

Which do you like better---Trumpeter or AFV Club Stryker?

Which do you like better---Trumpeter or AFV Club Stryker? Despite being different versions, I think AFV Club are more detailed,(plastic and PE, even some of the plastic parts have a better design and engineering) Trumpeter sometimes simplify things ( but honestly in the end you don't notice it that much... ) Trumpeter has stowage, straps, masking, figures ( on some versions ), ration boxes, water, soda boxes. AFV Club has nothing of that... Trumpeter's instructions are more clear.
They only share these versions : M1126, M1130, M1132 and M1134. AFV Club has the M1128 and M1296, Trumpeter does not. Trumpeter has the M1127,M1129, M1131,M1133 and M1135, AFV Club does not.
I have both kits for the M1132, so that will be the best comparison between both brands.
EDIT :: Forgot to answer your question... For the same price tag and availability I would go for AFV, but if I can get my hands on Trumpeter kit cheaper and/or faster , I'd pick Trumpy's.

Painting details, emergency lights attachments, rear view mirrors, tools, stowage, spare tire,etc...
But I hope this will be done in a few days. Base coats today, more detail painting ( maybe a couple of sessions at the bench ) , then weathering the whole lot... I still need to weather the Stryker with more dust / sandy / earth pigments.
I think I can make it this week.
My goal for this month is to finish this M1133 Stryker and also the LVTH 6A1 from AFV Club. Fingers crossed...
