Tamiya glue won't help you John, you'll need a very very small drop of cyano. Those tracks are made of resin.

Small update today,
Panzer IV Ausf.A , trying to finish one wheel and see what I need to do to finish all the others...
Panzer I, did another set of tracks,
KV-1,
I wanted to use these two, the Rust streak was ok, a little too solid but still ok. The other, Streaking Grime, was solid... damn.I will keep adding thinner and try it... anyway, moving along, I still used one :
That's it for today.

Thanks Jeff, Paul, Robbo and Boots !! Well here I was thinking it was my bad luck... it isn't I will add a few more on the turret but that's it I don't want to over do it. I will be more creative on the lower hull and fenders. They're next !! For the Panzer I tracks, I will show you on the next update a comparison with Dragon's tracks and also need to know how many links per side. I still need to work on the equipment and some more chipping but this one will be a light weathering. Today I wanted to pick another kit to start next month... but I think I'll go for one of the shelf queens Have a great weekend everyone !

Great update,John.
As far as your link count goes, If the Dragon tracks are indy's there should be a count per side in the instructions. If they are bandys then build your tracks to about that length. I would start test fitting about 10 links short and sneak up to the length you need. Hope that helps.

Here's the difference between the links:

Wow,is it my eyes or is there really that much difference in the size of the links? I took another pic , with the naked eye it looks more thick and they have a seam line all around the link. I will try to build a few links glued tomorrow so we can have a definitive look side by side.

Well... despite being lazy the last days.. today I managed to work on those AM tracks for the tiny Panzer I ,
And... 97 links done.
One side is done... just need 97 tiny drops of CA Glue to hold the pins.
Tracks look better than Dragon links, and it's way faster than glueing and cleaning the seam line on Dragon links.

And there you go. We have a winner,97 it is. well... I used Dragon's number... I might need an extra link, I'll have to try these first. Maybe an extra for sag.

I was going to ask you if you took sag into account. One link at a time 'till you get what you need.
