Oh,I'm sure you'll find 1 or 2 more nuts and bolts to use it on. The Gunk de-greaser is a good product. I've used it a lot through the years. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

Reminds me when some lads ran their Lambrettas without legshields, footboards or horn cover and stock mudguard, used a cutdown motorbike alloy one. Also put an Ancilotti exhaust on which came in a subtle shade of 🍊😳

LOL............yes i`ve seen a few like that back in the scooter run days to Brighton etc ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) , was tempted to buy another set of leg shields to make a cut down Lambretta and keep the originol ones whole, if i flip it at least it would still have the correct parts, have been looking at the Ancilloti seats and also the snettertons as well ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

Thanks Jeff...........the paint isn`t to bad for it`s age but closer inspection reveals it`s quite tired looking with some pitting here and there, i think it`s had a poor make over at some stage so i will strip her back as best as possible........she is officially classed as the Ltd edition Silver Special so if i do go for a refresh i`ll probably go for a more modern day silver ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

I can't get over how clean and rust free it is. You've got a real good base to build on.

I knew this was somewhere in my cave. Another blast from my youth. This still has my oily paw prints from around 1967 and again in 1994. ![](https://i.ibb.co/dtP15DK/IMG-20240208-163210-296.jpg) Imagine what that GT would be worth now mate!!! ![](https://i.ibb.co/tcMNhYm/IMG-20240208-162817-216.jpg)

That defo looks like a well thumbed manual ![(rofl)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/rofl.png) ...........iv`e just received my Lambretta manual thru today funny enough.......it covers everything from basic maintainance to up grading and restoration work including SBS complete engine rebuild, dunno if i`m brave enough tho ![(rofl)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/rofl.png)

Engine was dead simple, as engines go. Stripped threads on chain case was my biggest problem. Most needed helicoils. The rubber bushes on the engine top mounts also need a good check. Oil seal on rear hub I seem to remember was a problem. Might be wrong on that😁
