I have built a string of larger fast-mover kits over the past few months so I wanted to dive into a less complex 1/48th prop kit. Being a fan of all the underdog fighters of WW2, I decided Eduard's superb I-16 kit would be a good start. I will be using Wolfpack Decals to depict a Russian AF Type 10 from the Battle of Khalhin-Gol, Mongolia '39-----because it sounds cool.

The IP looks good, the colours you're using will set that off very nicely too.

Thanks, Tommy! Sorry for the late response----week from hell. I built the I-16 cockpit and added all the nice Eduard PE enhancements. I used The Nighshift's layered post-shading technique on the headrest by using lightened shades of the Vallejo Red Brown, which is added in increasingly smaller and lighter patches. Fuselage installation is next.
