Hi muckers, still got some time on hands so I'm gonna start this next . The Gloster Meteor F8 from airfix. This is one of those classic aircraft from after WWII, so I thought it was time I built one . Paint and gluing to commence shortly

When i worked for the MoD we had one of these come in suspended underneath a Chinook (minus the wings).........it was to be used as a target on one of the ranges testing anti-aircraft shells Look forward to seeing this one unfold mucker

I have really developed a soft spot for these newer Airfix boxings, mouldings and engineering are good and detail is up there with the best, a very little effort can turn these into something special - office and avionics bay detail looks good!

Great little kit.Just be VERY careful cleaning moulding seams etc,as the build tolerances are pretty tight, generally….

Dicky, these new Airfix kits a good indeed , the only rant I have is that the plastic is very soft and easily melts away when too much TET gets in there . Apart from that the fit is top and so is the detail . Cheers too mushty . Boots, the detail is darned fine considering that it is all in place from the word go . Thanks also fella . Chris, wise words of advice there mucker, I read up about the kit online and they also say that fit is very tight indeed . After starting it I soon found out how tight , the ejection seat clicks into place without glue and the cushioned pilots seat also . Steve, nice of you to join in fella . I just hope I do her justice . Pete, gotta keep you interested mucker . Todays doings are colouring the office and getting it put together . looking at the pics the seat belts could have been a tad greyer , but what the heck they're in now .

Sorry for the delay here chaps, I got side tracked with other things . Many thanks for the praise mushtys . Here's todays doings, not much got the office completed and attached the fuselage side, and got the wings together too. As you can see the wings needed a tad of persuasion to stick together, the fuselage is going to need to need something similar . More tomoz dudes
