Funny how different paints react to base colours. I think you've found a great match for the Eduard and Aotake shades mate

Chaps, I thank you all muchly . Jeff there are I believe two shades of that Aotake, maybe even more, but I know of two. There's a real blue coloured one and then there is this blue green shade. The internet showed the blue green shade for this particular aircraft . Will be back later with a small update, it concerns the stickers .

As promised, it's sticker time . Adding the 16 interior decals took me about 25mins . A word of warning though, Eduard state on the instructions that you must only soak the decals for a few seconds, otherwise they can swell and turn nasty . After reading that, I decided to see if they would come off the carrier dry .... yes they do . Just use a new no.11 blade and gently push under one corner and hey-presto, they come straight off. All I did then was to add a small amount of Revell Contacta Clear to the area where the decal goes and then position decal . Job done in record time, without any other aid needed . Just started picking the details that need painting, then a gloss will go on and some slight oil-washing for the shadows

Well chuffed with your praise chaps, thank you muchly . As the title says, the office is now done and has also been glued into the fuselage . I do have a word of warning about the kit parts, the tolerances are very tight . So I had to remove the paint and primer from the contact surfaces. The problem started to show up, after I started to glue the control panel on the port side of the cockpit, it wouldn't fit . The same problem showed up with dry fitting the cockpit to the fuselage. I was also worried about the Eduard etch harness, but this etch is so soft, that you need not worry at all . I have also finished the 14-Cylinder double star Nakajima Sakae 21 engine. To get the fuel pipes into place, I had to slightly alter the connection point on the cylinders, no biggy but without doing that the pipes would have sat next to the cylinder connections and not under them . The fuselage needs a little clean up after gluing, but that is normal, in fact the fit is better than most other kit makers. The wings are only dry fit at the moment, but the sit damned good and with a a little glue, they should fit perfectly . Anyway enuff chatter, here's the pics .
