Here's my entry. It floats as if it didn't it would sink to the bottom and stay there

Welcome aboard fellas. AG, Robbo, she's bigger than the Trafalgar Class I built last year. I took the pic on the metric mat to show the size of the kit. X that buy 350 to work out the size of the real thing I'm pleased to say that the kit has a lot of shape and detail errors, which is reassuring considering this is the Royal Navy's new and top secret Attack Submarine! I did not correct them apart from one which is the tower front which is too pointy and raked. It's in the public domain so no problem sorting this, 5 mins with a file and a bit of putty and it's more or less there. I've spent most of the day filling and sanding the joint from the upper and lower hull parts. I'm here now, I will see what this looks like under a coat of black.

It amazes me with these attack subs, regardless of class or nationality, how they are able to fit reactors, torpedo tubes, cruise missiles, crew quarters, work spaces and sonar inside these hulls.

So after a few hellish weeks I've finally dragged together some mojo and pushed the Astute to the point that I can put some paint on it. Added PE mooring loops and ballast covers and tidied up the remaining joints. Here's where we are now
