They are rubber bungs which are used to seal the turrets periscopes and coax MG, against water when the tank goes for a paddle . I think the two on the hull are spares for the mantlet, or when these are used the gunner can traverse the turret a little to remove them. The others would have to be removed by hand. I reckon John (JKB) could shed more light on this.

To remove the long chain plugs, the turret is moved a couple of degrees and out they pop.
