No need for that, just click on them and u can see them full size. This way the threads remain lighter. I think it's better this way.

Hi folks. The 262 project is proceeding. Loads of putty and lots of sanding, but it is getting there. The issues i'm having came up mainly because i decided to build an in flight model. The engine nachelles and the covers of the landing gear were never intended to be closed, so they have a lot of issues. Nothing that can't be corrected. For start the fuselage issues have been corrected. Around the cockpit and underneath there was a really big step, between the 2 halves. upload imagesthen the engine nachelles. finally the landing gear covers. They didn't have anything to hold on to, so i made some supports and filled the gaps. I know the putty looks messy, but i wanted it to create some more support as well. There are still gaps underneath. I'm trying to decide on a ''proper corse of action" about those. If it doesn't look good till now plz say so...

I think you're doing fine, John. Some of the changes you're making are major ones and are not easy to do.

Well John I reckon you have done a darned fine repair job there . I would probably have put it back in its box and hidden it in a dark corner of my cellar .

Thank you fellas for stopping by. All the wings/enines parts are glued together and i must admit i'm quite happy with the way they look. So i decided to do a test fit of the wings with the fuselage.... No words... I'll probably have to use some white stuff before the putty, these gaps are way too big!

Holy crap sir, why do we buy these things Well to be fair, it is a 40 year old kit.... i've seen worse on modern kits. It's the 32nd scale that makes things a bit more diffuicult.

Very nice work so far John - as you say it's an old kit and the repairs yer doin' are necessary for a good finish - keep it goin'!
