The canopy was masked and airbrushed. With the unmasking the weathering can begin.

The base is ready to be painted and sprinkled with synthetic fibres. The plane was given a first panel lining with oils.

It's just awesome , so awesome I might have to crack open a 109 myself Paul, the same feeling here, I want to build one as well. You being seriously introduced in plane building, is there a kit you recommend? Thanks my friend.

Tamiya 109's are good and also an easy aircraft beginners point . But if you are as crazy as I think you are , then the Eduard 109 series is the best out there. The detail is really good and they build into fantastic models, do you remember Wouts and my 109's from last year? Those are Eduard kits. Eduard does two versions of most of their 109#s, a weekend version and a so called profipack. (there are a couple of duel combo kits also) The weekend one is a basic plastic kit, the profipack is the base kit but pimped with masks, coloured PE, up to 6 marking options and sometimes resin add-ons. The duel combos contain two aircraft with the same contents as the profipack and 12 marking options. In the one I have, there is a F4 and G2 in the box. I hope I have wettend your appetite, and welcome to the dark-side .
