Many thanks indeed dear chaps . Sorry for the lack of updates on here, by the time I had got home from and had dinner and done a little bench time, it was time for bed . Anyway, the exterior is now complete and she'll be primed hopefully tomorrow. Had a little trouble with splash-plate amrs, they didn't ferkin' fit at all. So i used some brass rod instead. More soon chaps, as always ACACW

Boots, I sure hope so mushty . Pete, you are so right fella , I have decided to get another and go to town with re-designing the turret layout a tad . Mack, the longer the better sir . Thanks too dude Marco, many thanks my friend . Today I primed the beast with Edding universal permanent primer. Edding make those marker pens that are really hard to remove from anything they mark . I happened to see this primer with a wide range of spray paints and thought, why not give it go . Straight from the can, it is a tad thin and spits a bit, but the drops do level themselves out quite quickly. Also this stuff is dry with 10 mins, but you're all gonna have to wait till the weekend before colour goes on . More at the weekend chaps

Pete, cheers matey . I think the colour range and primer are new, or at least it's new here in Münster . Marco, many thanks sire . I love the look of ghost grey indeed, think I need to a wingy . Ooops, better get the Meteor done first . Boots, it sure has mucker . And it's really tough too, I tried to remove some just for a test, ain't found anything that'll touch it when dry . Todays painting session was conducted with the Mr.Hobby colour set CS584:900. This a colour modulation set which once again, was advertised as acrylic but is in fact lacquer. There are four paint pots in the set: 1. CMC13 Russian green shadow 2. CMC10 Russian green base 3. CMC11 Russian green highlight 1 4. CMC12 Russian green highlight 2 Today I used the shadow first as a base coat, then sprayed the Russian base as a lightened base coat . Having no lacquer thinner, and can't even find any to buy here, I used Revell paint cleaner again. This works very well but it doesn't help the overall bad smell of the paint, it however speed up the drying time . I painted this about an hour ago and it's absolutely dry already . Hopefully I'll the highlights on tomorrow , but I have got to do the Sunday dinner on the BBQ first . As always ACACW

Cheers very much Ian . The gun was actually the failure of this vehicle. Even though it was long calibre and therefore pact a harder punch with a larger charged round, it still couldn't penetrate the NATO amour of the time. Maybe if the Russians had had DU ammo back then it might have made it further, just as well DU wasn't around back then.
