Had to clear out a display case of mine to bring back home and thought it might be appropriate to get some shots of things I have done since I got back to the hobby. First up this Le Cimier 180mm figure of a Polish Lancer trumpeter in full dress uniform, resin and white metal.
Will try and get the rest of the collection up by manufacturer and scale to give an insight to the collection warts and all ! Tim

Paul, Not sure whats in my blood to be fair. But certainly Napoleonic era is right up there on the list.
Pete, Glad you like.
When I got back to the hobby my first 3 figures were 90mm white metal from Tradition of London. These were painted using ordinary craft shop acrylics as they cost next to nothing. I knew very little about their use and thinning and so now they look like the paint was laid on with a trowel. Rifleman 95th, Trooper Carabiniers and Officer of Curassiers - Prussian all with scarey starey eyes. Decided to try a larger figure and Tradition of London provided this 110mm white metal figure.
French Hussar 1808.
By now the bug had caught me and the next progression was the range of Verlinden 120mm resin kits sourced from Historex, but more of that with the next post. Tim

On to the Verlinden period then. Officer Swiss Regiment and Trumpeter 5th Hussars. Tambour Du Genie and Grenadier Old Guard. Marine of the Guard.
My first mounted figure, General of Cuirassiers.
Trooper "Scots Greys" and Leibhusaren Officer. Last one, Rifleman 60th Foot. My first and only attempt to date with oil paints. More soon. Tim

Very nice work Tim, not seeing the trowel effect though. You are so kind Paul but if I might ask a question. Just back from your holiday, have you removed the sunglasses ?

Really nice figures old chap, I've always admired those who can paint such vivid and complex uniforms and these really do catch my eye

Gents, Thanks for looking in and the comments. Paul, not sure why but the 60th Foot has been a favourite of mine all along. From when I first saw it in the Historex listing and then seeing theirs in the display cabinet in Dover. Maybe need to revisit oil paints at some point. Moved on to 90mm figures again after the Verlinden and took a gamble with a Poste Militaire white metal figure. A Gardes D'Honneur which I think came out quite well. More soon. Tim

Continuing a look at past endeavours, this is the largest figure in the cabinet. 200mm sculpted by M Corry but not sure who produced it (signs of age?) Coldstream Guards 1815.
Supposed to be 2 more pictures but uploading seems to be on the blink again for me. Thought I had cracked that particular problem
