Marco, I squeezed it in Robbo, Not too late at all mate, got loads to build! And you bring up an interesting point, you, like SteveM are heading into 72nd, I wonder if more modellers will move this way as prices of 35th scale kits continue to rise?

You have made a fair point there Vlad, I also have picked up 7 kits in 1/72 this year. Three of them being Model Collect, which certainly have a darned good level of detail too. But, not all are cheaper. Some cost that of a 1/35 kit, like the OKB Chaffee for ca. €30 or the Flyhawk Abrams for around $30 . Even Dragons 1/72 range is quite close to some 1/35 stuff from Academy or Italeri.

I built the Luchs, beautiful kit but needs care as tolerances are very very tight, I'm sure tothers in their catalogue are much the same! Model collect are great kits! the MAZ range of trucks is second only to........ well nobody! as Trumpeter are still playing catchup in 35th! I have the BMP 3 in 72nd with the slat armour! gorgeous package, they also have another BMP with a large number of figures, so if modern soviet vehicles are your thing , get them yesterday! Some 72nd stuff is really hit and miss, ACE for example, some kits are excellent..... others not so much! I'm quite partial to UM or UM-MT both affiliated with each other and the kits are not bad, but I really like their subject matter, especially the UM-MT armoured trains! As you may start to work out I really like 72nd, its the scale I grew up making before I discovered 35th, and I have looked into todays market as its becoming my prefered scale due to space issues! And I can store more thus buying more and did I mention armoured trains

Great looking work, so far. The castings on the interior parts are really beautifully done. Looks like a gem of a kit.
Regards,
Ian
