Did some more on this today and decided that the paint was not up to standard so I'm stripping back and starting again. Under my new task light I found too many flaws that I was not happy with!

Oh dear Pete , must be serious if you're doing that Yeap, loads of dust particles in the paint and I'm just not happy with the colours too. I think my spray booth is now going down the pan as well. Lucky I plan on getting a new one soon!

Cheers chaps, the paint has been stripped off today using the brilliant VMS clean slate so it should get re primed sometime this weekend

Here's the lynx all stripped back to bare plastic. One thing I discovered is that clean slate will actually remove mr surfacer. So if you use it on a model you have added texture to with mr surfacer be prepared to reapply.

Amazing how clean it looks! Does the paint adhere better the second time?

Amazing how clean it looks! Does the paint adhere better the second time? The paint adhered fine the first time Steve I was just unhappy with the finish and amount of flaws in it hence the strip.

I was thinking more if the strip leaves a cleaner surface or any sort of etching effect for the second application to key to?
