Hi again ppl. Made a decision that even i can't understand why... Blame an evil person for the kit. 😁😛🤣 I mean this kit looks like a torture. Yet i will attempt to build it. No promises.... Way too many very small parts. Instructions look like a maze. Yet here is AFV's M16 MGMC. It is going to be modelled as a Hellenic Army vehicle at the very end of their life as vehicles in units of the National Guard. Why? Simple. It can be painted in MERDC. You don't get to see them in anything else than plain olive drab that often. They did serve as plain drab at he civil war, but i find that a bit dull. Pics from vehicles from that period (cold war), are quite scarse, so i cannot provide with a good big one. It will be modelled from memory mostly. Let the pain begin.... 😛

Worth the pain I'd say as it will be in MERDC which will be very unusual.

Thank you very much Gents for the vote of confidence. The build started with the engine and gearbox - transfer box and the chassis. A lot of parts. About 85? That said they go together like a dream. I hope the rest of the build is like this. Excellent engineering from AFV with superb detail. Exactly the opposite from the A13 i recently built regarding the kit's engineering!

That is a superb looking engine! 85 parts? Don't let Miniart see this.

I agree... don't let Miniart see this.
AFV Club can be great kits, most of the time they are, but sometimes it can be a real pain in the ...
So far it's looking great. The Greek Army got the M16 when ? And they used them for how long ? That paint scheme is unusual, but I bet it will look great !!

You could still find some in National Guard units until the early 80s. After the engine parts were assembled, things definitely went down the drain. It is actually frustrating. The whole thing fell apart a couple of times. I hope it doesn't end up as a mojo killer. Badly designed parts, especially with anything that has to do with the running gear and suspension. I guess i will cover some things up with some mud.

Good morning chaps. Some more work was done. Tommy i agree, ot is needlessly complicated and with parts that have no actual reason to be in so many pieces. It was time for the cabin. Here everything went very well. Absolutely no probs. It is like different companies designed this kit. Some parts of the kit are fantastic and some others are simply bad. Anyway some pics from the cabin and a test fit.
