Hello guys, I'm testing how I can create a crackly concrete platform. These were hastily made next to the German highways to put their camouflaged jet planes on. Test 1 : Garden dirt 40% + 40% spackle + 20% crushed concrete chunks + water to make a thick mixture. I flattened this over a flexible decorative net to keep everything together once dry and hardened. I then broke it up and brushed it with a brush. Most important thing, I didn't tell my better half I used her decorative stuff for wrapping Christmas presents. Another mixture follows in a couple of days.

Funnily enough, I was just experimenting with the same thing last night. I saw uncle Night Shift do it. Cork tiles covered in Tamiya putty:

Thanks guys. Well I've decided to go for the cork which Tommy reminded me of, it's a very effective material to work with, less dusty too. This is the cork worked with Tamiya putty.

I thought there was more going in here than is shown here. I was thinking just the same Ian. No serious, I switched to the cork approach.
