The weather has been good so I've been able to get some painting done.
It's a what-if US manufactured T34-85. The idea is the war is against the Soviets...because of...events. They ask the US to manufacture the T34 for them. I already did a T34-76 with VVSS suspension. This is the next progression. I figure the Detroit engineers would substitute aspects for ease.
The hull is a Tamiya T34. The turret is Zvezda. The suspension is from an old DML M4E8 kit. The track was a hold-up. The DMl track was about 3-4 links short for each side. I ended up "borrowing" the track from a DML Pershing I had previously borrowed the turret for my M4E8(90) I did a while back. Other additions were a muzzlebreak, hull gunner .30 cal, and late-ish war Sherman commander's hatch.
Very light weathering....she's a factory fresh girl. No decals.
She's not done. She needs some cleaning up. I still want to add US style periscopes with guards. Maybe rework stowage to storage boxes and/or US pioneer tools. I will probably ditch the fuel tanks if I do that. Tempted to change out the engine deck to infer an engine swap....maybe a Detroit Diesel. Probably will add a turret M2.
I plan on eventually using this in a diorama. It'll be under inspection by a Soviet liaison officer and his engineers. I've got some figures that would work well.

Love the paintwork, eventhough I wouldn't call it factory fresh, looks worn to me.. but again, I really like it!
