Today's work , I ended up working only on the Special Hobby 1:32nd Tempest II . Almost 5 hrs at the bench...
Building Step 6 , still needs paint.
Step 7 , (Pur 11) the resin clean-up wasn't easy, quite easy to break up...
All was going so well... troubles started here...
Pur 6 and Pur 7 resin bits have some tiny raised bits that will have the two 0.25mm wires.
I only have 0.30mm wires, so I used them, but I broke at least 2 of those raised bits were the wires connect, so instead of having 8,5mm wire I measured 8,8mm and it fits.
Also the PE parts used here PE11, PE12 and PE13, had to be scratched. A few years ago when I was planning to build this puppy, I managed to lose the PE sheet and one side of the fuselage... I contacted Special Hobby and they sent me some fuselage Sprues, but I forgot to ask about the PE sheet and I got an Eduard Set, that doesn't cover som of the Kit's PE sheet. So I ended up using Aber Wespe Set and scratched some parts.
Ready for Primer.
Started adding Quinta's parts,
I also noticed I missed some parts on the fuselage,
I noticed another problem, this yellow/brown stripes neat the top of cockpit wall was glued but I don't know how or when is now missing, I'm not going to order another Quinta's set for that. The kit's original parts are from that missing PE set... so I had to improvise again... I added a Eduard's PE painted piece with some switches... It's not perfect I know but it fits in that empty space.
Main display is almost done !
And some Primer on the Step 7 parts.
All that took me almost 5 hrs to work on... that's it for today.
It will take me a few more weeks to get the office finished, a lot of sub-assemblies mixing resin, PE and decals having to prime, paint and weather in between every step . Despite my own mistakes ( losing that PE fret ) I'm really liking this build so far. This kit in some capable hands would be a masterpiece, but in my clumsy hands ans sometimes shaky fingers I only hope to get it looking like a Tempest standing on it's wheels.

Today's work :: Here we go....
Tempest II ::
I started doing some chipping ,
Painting the Primed parts ( I noticed one of the cables is detached, so I'll have to sort it out later )
More sub-assemblies,
I think I'll use this seat , it has a lot of detail, but I will have to check how it turns out against the kit's with Quinta's decals.
More paint...
Chipping..
Paint..
Miniart T-44 M , some paint on the engine.
Takom's Bergepanther, this is what's done so far, I have a lot of sub-assemblies to work on..
Wheels now,
I will paint them before assembly,
And finally , HobbyBoss Panzer IV Ausf.B
That's it for today !!!

I hope so.
The kit is much better than I expected, the Resin part that come with the kit are very detailed and the Quinta 3D really takes that cockpit to another level. I know you're not a fan of Special Hobby, but think kit would make you think differently . So far I'm loving it.
I admit.. if I could find another one at a good price I would get it to make another version... (don't tell my wallet)
It's my first big scale plane and I'm loving it so far...this might start an expensive trend

Today's work, here we go ...
Tempest II :: More cockpit shenanigans, Quinta's, Paint and Chipping and some building too..
Miniart T-44 M , some more paint on the engine. Weathering is next. I figured from the previous T-44, even with all hatches opened, not much visibility so I won't go crazy on accuracy with the weathering here.
17cm Grille, I was about to get the tracks done... they snapped 4 times... so I gave up, with that weathering and paint, it's an abandoned prototype. It stays like this. Finished. Just needs a base for the chassis and gun.
M50 Sherman, more paint on the turret, just need to add the searchlight.
Panzer 38(t) Ausf.B, started painting the seats when I noticed some PE parts, I'll need get some Primer first on both seats and then paint them.
M1114, working on the wheels. Resin upgrade...
with some Primer,
Gaz 69M, added the rear bench,
still need to add these 2 parts that got some more paint too.
That's it for today !!!!

Awesome work! The weathering on the Grille is superb. And the cockpit details on the Tempest continue to amaze.
