Thanks guys. Today I added a minimum of extra detail to the engine such as wires because it will be 100% visible. I used stretched sprue as in general I prefer plastic on plastic. I did just one side and it took me hours to get it right. Tomorrow the left side will be completed too.

That is the beauty about these Eduard kits, you get loads of extras which usually disappear inside the build. That looks awesome Guy

Lovely damaging work you did on the fuselage Guy. That's going to give some very cool dramatic effects when painted and weathered! And one's gotta love that bit of extra detailing to the Daimler Benz engine ^^

Ian,Bert,Wouter,Tommy,Steve, thanks for jumping by! This afternoon I've airbrushed the engine with different colours, each colour heavily thinned to keep the details sharp. I started with flat black, then red brown, field blue, rlm grey, linoleum deck brown and a mixture of rlm grey + red brown + white just to lift up the details a little. I kept it darker in the lower and inner parts to enhance depth. This is just step one, to get that plastic covered.
The metal and other colours will be applied in step 2.
