With the new year, with all of its hope and promise, I'll start off with a cheerful post apocalyptic theme.
I'm going to build it around these four figure and possibly expand it from there. There's still some really nice looking figures in this set so I might add more figures to it. I'm still working through the overall diorama. In general, it's a group of survivors making their way through a post apoc world...or maybe it's present day Detroit. It'll be them walking through a ruined street or arriving at a gate leading to Sanctuary. I figured I'd try an opposite approach by starting small, adding as it feels right, and finishing big.

Excellent choice! Reminiscent of "The Road."

Thanks. I've never watched "The Road" but I do know the story. That actually works with the general idea I'm shooting for.
They really are nice figures. I'd like to see them do them all in 1/35 scale like they did with the pin-ups.

I had Post-Apocalyse Movie Day, one time. "The Road", "Book of Eli" and "I Am Legend" all in one afternoon.🤣🤣

They are 1/24 scale.
I'm down for a bit so no work on the figures. I had planned on basic assembly being done by now. Either caught a nasty cold or the Covid.
Unless it gets bad, I see no reason to get tested. Hoping to be feeling better this weekend and can get some work done.

Looking forward to seeing these figures Alex, I've a plan for a dio when I have a bit more time. Hope you feel better soon mate.
I've had COVID for over a week now. Only did a test as I had some left but it only confirms what I already knew

Hope it clears up soon Alex. I'd do a test anyway, the variant I caught last month was a lot worse than the one I had in March. It stuck around for days, the March one was only 4.

Thanks...feeling a bit better. Feel drained and I talk like I've had a five pack a day smoking habit for about sixty-seven years. Not a great deal done...mostly assembling the legs and torso halves. I use good old Testors Tube Glue to do these. Master Box (and Miniart) styrene tends to want to fight a bit when I use Tamiya liquid cement....especially on these larger scale figures. Just a quick lineup with the figures. I want to get them assembled enough to start laying out the diorama and therefore the story. So this is "Hope"....which I assume refers to the infant included in the kit to place on the mom's back. I don't know if I'll use the baby...that's kind of creepy. It depends on how the scene develops. Creepy may be good. This is Vadim. This will probably be the patriarch of this group. This is Sabrina. I'm probably going to have her as a guide, leading teh others to Sanctuary. I'm leaning to make Vadim into a scientist or something and the leaders of Sanctuary have sent Sabrina to escort him and his daughter and granddaughter(s). Now we have Splinter is a child. On the box art she seems to be wearing tight jeans or something. The actual figure is wearing really short tight cut-off denim shorts. No. I'm working to make her seem like she is wearing something over her legs. I already sanded down the edge/hem of the shorts and added a layer of glue. I'll add another layer or maybe some surfacer or maybe some flux.
Anyway...not alot there but there something.
