What Pete said is totally correct . I use Aldi glass/window cleaner (blue coloured) or Isopropanol, the Aldi stuff is also good for thinning the VMS matt and thinning Mig paints too.

I have run into a rather annoying problem here . I had all the optics masked with Mr Hobby acrylic masking fluid, I now know it doesn't like Tamiya acrylics . The stuff has set as hard as concrete, so instead of peeling off like a piece of tape/skin it has got to be scratched off now . Which will not be an easy task at all. Will Keep thee all informed as to what happens, just hope I don't need the "Brick of Doom" .

Thanks for your confidence Marco . We'll see how this continues, I have scraped the optics free and the don't look too good anymore. I might try and add some reflective stickers, or paint them in the old school way . Any other tips would be nice to hear before I start the repair job

Hmmm, that masking fluid really didn't like the tamy paint did it? Your could try a coat of johnsons klear or some other gloss to see if it will even it out. Or even use tamiya clear colours over the top.

Mack I don't know what I'd do without thee . Boots, that is rather understated but it'll do Paul, yes I did, but it's hard too say if that's what caused it .

Will do Pete . In the mean time I have resprayed the Nato black, and added some AFV club Leo stickers . These are meant to be added to the acetate before they go onto the model, that way you don't need to chop them up . Well I chopped mine up in situ, and I think she has now been saved from the Br...... . Well I'd better get this dirtied up now then
