From the Meng EOD set. First component of a slightly bigger idea... Seams need tidying and more details to be added but coming together nicely.

Thinking of using the Takom BMW as a vehicle of interest, and also one of the'bots from the set... that's th current plan at least

That's a good set. It'll be interesting to see this build up....both the figure and the Takom BMW.

Dug the BMW out over the weekend and got a start. not expecting too much bother but I have to say i'm not sold on the use of black styrene for the majority of parts. My eyes, even with an optivisor and additional lighting are finding it a tad difficult.does seem to be a bit of a Takom signature- the use of "unusual" styrene colours. A couple of knock-out marks on the back of the front seats need a bit of filling, otherwise nothing of note (so far). Takom don't provide any detail on internal painting but that's not any kind of a hardship. I'llupdate with some pics from home later.

Cheers chaps. In an effort to spare my poor eyes I roughly misted a light coat of Tamiya Extra fine White primer over the bits, things are now a lot easier to see...

For bloody sure Boots. At least now I can see where I'm going wrong. Plan for the weekend is get all the sub-assemblies for this sorted and then do some cleaning up work on Jeremy.

That certainly helps Paul . I have the same problem, black and clear parts drive me freakin mad, I just can't see the contours to determin where to glue the stuff

Innards have now had a base coat of Barley grey, apart from the dash and center consol which have been picked out in black. Weather gto follow once dried. Still unsure what colour to go with for the outside though...
