Chaps, next unfortunate kit to fall victim to prof's scapel is below. My first biplane, what could possibly go wrong? Welcoming interested / supportive / sympathetic parties.

Really looking forward to this build. This is actually a really fun build and Tamiya really engineered it well. The PE rigging was a nice touch and the pieces basically snap into place. What is amazing is how big the actual Swordfish is so you end up with a pretty big model on your hands, even in 48th.
Best wishes,
Ian

Great choice Mence , I’m in Fun fact! This is the aircraft intended to be in the film Murphy's War but there were no flying examples so the Grumman Duck was used instead, despite never seeing service with any Commonwealth country. Fitting I suppose as the film is a rip off of Moby Dick

Welcome chaps. Not much of an update as the failing eyesight triggered one stinker of a headache meaning i had to stop prematurely. However, here's the first bit. Interior has had some colour thrown at it, Tamiya Interior Green and Deck Tan with detail painting and black brown washes accordingly. I made no attempt to deal with the pin marks simply because i'm pretty sure they won't be visible when the fuselage halves come together. That's it, onwards and sideways.
