I recommend tamiya XF 15 flat flesh to lighten it, as ever a bit of experimentation and practice will hopefully get the shade you what. Tamiya OD is definitely too dark out of the bottle for WW2. If you check out my stuart build you will see how I used flesh to get a better looking colour.
Thanks for the advice everyone, here’s my second attempt. I striped the paint and started again after looking at the builds suggested The photo is a bit darker than the real thing, the IPhone struggled with the contrast but what do you think?

Decals... Not so good IPhone pic, the light area around one or two of the decals is reflected light from the surface not the dreaded silvering Parts just placed together for the pic. Im trying Humbrol Maskol for the wheels, slap it on then trim with a sharp blade, or so they say!
