Depending on what coarse of paper you run the wheels over can get different effects.........i don`t primer the wheels/tyres when i use this method simply because you don`t want to build up to much paint and lose the affect on the rubber surface...........i just give a light coating of NATO Black/Flat black or or Lifecolors Tyre Black and then just fill the centre in body colour, i find the thinner the paint over the texture the better chance of leaving enough to pick out with a dry brush, at the end of the day the wheels arn`t going to be touched when fitted and tracks on so why add another unnecessary layer of paint

They may be simple improvements but handles really make a big difference to a model.

Okay chaps, I promised an update but this isn't as big as I thought . Late home from work, I still got back onto this. I checked around the stash again and found the tracks I needed so I tried them first . Yep they fit Next I got some more small stuff in place, fuel and coolant covers, rear lights and guards, wiring from the front missing lights and their guards . Plus something that both Academy and Tamiya (I reckon AFV Club also) have missed , the release mechanism for the driver and radio operators hatches . More soon or tomorrow chaps

Boots, cheers mushty . Well thanks to the bank holiday today I have made some serious progress here . The whole thing is dry fit at the moment, the hulls, turret halves, mantlet and mantlet cover are all just held together by the connecting pins and one piece of tape . As you can see the gunners sight cover is scratched, this is my fault, while trying to remove the sprue connector it went airbourne and disappeared . The kit literally falls together, well done Tamiya. Right now to take it apart again and get ready for priming tomorrow
