Watcha Boots . Here's the first gluing for yaz , I am using the new Tamiya TET Limonene cement for this one. I got the stuff today and can say it certainly smells better than the normal TET, but to me it appears to be even thinner . Also it takes a little longer to fix things in place, but I reckon I can live with that . The hull is flat pack affair, I must say that I not a friend of these . Only I can screw these flat pack things up, but I must say that Tamiya seems to have this one fool proof . I suppose I see later when the top goes on . This will be basically OOB, but I will add a couple of extras, I have a pic somewhere with an M!10 which has a .30cal mounted over the mantlet. This I shall defo add, and few bits of stowage too . And before anybody asks, yes I will be adding the crew to this one also plus a small base .

Nope, Tamiya have certainly learned that lesson with their newer kits . Since the first new Sherman release in 2014 they have added the sponsons to all the Sherman variants

Hi Ian . I shall go for a US version, as said I have a pic somewhere with an M10 with the added .30 cal on the mantlet. I think it was used in Italy .

I'll have a little extra work to adding the jerry can cages and stowage cage on the front, but that should be easy . Also I must forget to add the headlights, to be honest being an ex tankie, the headlights are the first thing that I would smash or remove on a fighting vehicle. Imagine driving covert and accidentally hitting the light switch . I even have the tracks for this one in the stash , so no extra expense there either

The sandbag thing ain't too hard Boots, here's one I did many years ago using miliput and white sheet The hessian look I achieved using an old (washed) sock, which was pressed into the soft putty

Yeah thats the kind of thing mucker...........that does look awesome , i got a couple of vids of sandbag making using magi-sculpt but milliput is not really that much different......i think they used finger bandage gauze for the hessian look

Excellent choice sir, nothing like an M10 with loads off kit hanging of it! That ref pic with the 30 cal is very interesting, as you say the cages etc should be easy to knock up & I like the chewed up front mud guards too. Looks to be a fun build.
