Just to let you chaps know I'm still around and sticking styrene.... Tamiya Spitfire MkXVIe….. Since these pics were taken, the ailerons, undercarriage, and tail feathers have been added, and I'm trying to lose the moulding seam from the canopy Hobby Boss B24J.... All of the interior has been done, but not completely painted yet,and I still have some fabric seat belts to fit.BTW the ruler is 16" (over 400mm) Hong Kong Models B25J.... Again, full interior, but only what can be seen will get any colouring in. Tamiya DH Mosquito FB MkVI This is only dry fitted at the mo,cos I'm still doing a bit of detailing in the cockpit. Just held together by that one screw in the top of the fuselage. I've also,as per my norm, got some other birds to the paint stage....P51D,P47D,Skyraider,Corsair,MkVIII Spit...……..

Good evening Gentlemen, just a quick update on where I am on a few 1/32 projects due to lockdown... We've got 3 Spits,A Mk VIII, a MkIXc,and a Mk XVIe, F4U-1A Corsair, and a Pony... Also broke out an old Zero and made some good progress on that as well. This is where we are now....Zero is dry fitted and coloured in,The Pony is painted as one of the Tuskegee birds,301st FS,332 FG,and the Mk XVIe. Painted these mainly cos they were easy to do with rattle cans. I have a few touch ins etc to do,and more or less finished the decs, although I will have to re do the meatballs on the Zero cos the decs were too old to be viable.

Fantastic Ceebee, the pony looks awesome! What's your opinion of the HK B-25? Hi Mence,I've not found any real probs getting to where I am with it so far. Not entirely sure it's worth the price they're asking, but I got mine well cheap at OT a few years ago. If I get bored tinkering with wot is on me bench at the mo,I will get back at it,and give you a better idea,OK? I've even had the old AB out, redoing the Hinemarus on the Zero, and it don't look at all bad.

Beautiful work on all these projects. I especially love the Spitfire and the Pony. I have the sheet for that Tuskegee scheme in 1/48th from Superscale and those are really cool markings.
Best wishes,
Ian

Best wishes, Ian Ian,I did have markings for all 4 squadrons, and all 5 different aircraft that the Fighter group used. I still have 1/72,and 1/48 to do a couple more Ponies. I believe they used P40s,P39's P47s,and P51B,D.
