Boots, Ian H, Pete, Ian R, Steve, many thanks chaps . Well, after I matted the aircraft, painted and fixed the landing gear in place and de-masked the devil, I got into a real sweat . She turned into a tail sitter . I had to chop up air-gun pellets, squash them and roll them into little ingots and then carefully stick them into the intake on the port side. Always shaking the plane so that they fell into the nose. After I had enough of these (a 20 pellets), I poured cyano gel glue in through the prop attachment hole in the nose and prayed that all goes well. Apparently all did go well . But you wouldn't believe the weight of lead that is there now . Hope to get landscaping gear fixed tomorrow or Thursday

Paul, looks beautiful. Just a cautionary warning, though. If you poured CA glue into the nose and you have a closed canopy it may frost on the inside even if it has been dipped. That happened to me one time.
Best wishes,
Ian

Ian, many thanks again sir . Pete, appreciated ole chap . Steve, thank you sir . I'll answer to your comment shortly. Boots, muchas grassyass fella . Well I am calling this one done. This has certainly been a learning field for me, again . Having built a couple of flyers before, I was aware that this was a tail sitter candidate. As Steve mentioned, Hobby Boss don't give you any info on weighting the nose of the aircraft, but I did add the first weight before gluing together the fuselage. This was roughly 15 gramms of lead, but it wasn't enough. I think I have doubled that now since joining and painting everything, and the price to pay is that which Ian mentioned, I have some fogging on the inside of the canopy front. Not trusting my self enough to cut the canopy free, and try to remove the fog caused by the cyano glue, which I poured in to fix the extra lead weights, I'm leaving it as it is. Fact is, next time I shall add more than enough weight from the start. See, live and learn. Thanks for watching chaps, I'll try to do better on next winged project.

She`s a feckin` beaut matey .......i bet that foggin` is minimal to the eye in real life on the bench mucker.......cameras always emphasis wrong things in greater detail , if ya hadn`t of mentioned it i probably wouldn`t have even noticed

Got to say it looks a cracker mate & like Boots said if you hadn't mentioned the fogging I wouldn't have seen it. Modellings full of mistakes, sometimes happy ones but mostly not, or is that just me?

That still looks like an excellent model. Nicely done. I always try to overload the nose when adding to any potential tail sitters.

Steve, Boots, Pete, Mark, many thanks dear chaps . Tis a shame about the weight issue, I could sworn there was enough in there at the start, at least I know now that I will certainly go dukes way in the future . You never know, I might get another and do it better .

Paul, beautiful Tucano and I hate to hear about all the issues you had with it. Unfortunately, CA glue in a confined space with no ventilation is going to frost. A dipped canopy can reduce the frosting but in my case from years ago, a Pledge-dipped canopy still frosted....it just took longer. CA fumes are pretty tenacious and there's just nowhere for them to go in a closed fuselage. Also, the very tip of the GBU-12 seeker head will have a yellow cap which can vary from Buff to bright Insignia Yellow. Anyway, beautiful build and sorry about all the difficulties.
Regards,
Ian
