To be honest Paul a few bits have been knocked off in the storage box so I was just going to repair it but then I thought I’d use the paintwork and decals as a base for some faded paint and weathering practice.
These F-4C were kept in the front line in Vietnam long after they should have been replaced so if anything it’s too clean as I first finished it.

That is a beauty, Steve! Nonetheless, I do find it fun to pull one out of storage and do a refurb/refinish every now and again.

This should be interesting to watch. Informative too as I have no idea how to weather an aircraft like this after hard use in the 'Nam.

It only took 10 minutes to pull the kit apart so while the AB was out for the Fokker I had a play with various shades of green and tan. I’m going for a well used look, it’ll take some practice but better on this than a £70 new kit What do you think?  |

Cool pic, Steve! I really like your shading on the paint re-furb and these USAF Phantoms did fade a lot.

Just something about an F-4C/D in SEA camo with a black radome. I just love how they look.
