Right, the VMS varnish arrived today so I got the a/b out and gave the model a blast. This stuff is flippin brilliant!! Just give the bottle a damn good shake then spray, which it does beautifully by the way. The result after a few light passes is a dead flat finish. Just the job.
I'll leave this to cure over the weekend before starting the final assembly and weathering. I've also been working on a base and figure,
Glazing and lights were the order of the day today and some care was needed to get them to fit. I used tiny amounts of tamiya extra thin for the windows which worked a treat. Over the weekend the pallets were finished off and the figure painted. Lots still to do but I'm almost there!
Oh and the matt varnish has set like rock! It is very durable, much more so than anything else I've used.
