Thank you, Joe! To be honest, I am really partial for the white over grey Nimrods but went with this one due to the history behind it since it was an AIM-9 toting Nim from the Falklands.

She is certainly looking good Ian . I have had that issue with the solvaset also, with acrylics it does tend to disappear again once fully dry. Recently I have heard that you should wait 5 days for the gloss to fully cure, before using decal setting agents. That's why I haven't done anything on the Macchi.

Thanks, guys. Happens every now and again with Solvaset but Dullcote makes any crazing disappear so it won't be an issue.

The decals have added a nice touch of colour to the paintwork Ian, weathering will pull it all together too as you say. The leak issue was partly due to the fact that each and every Nimrod had slightly different pipe work as it was all hand made 40 years ago. Getting replacements for cracked fittings meant the whole aircraft being grounded while the pipe was made from scratch. The MRA4 with its ‘Airbus’ wing was going to fix that but joining a CAD design, CNC cut wing to a handmade fuselage was never going to be easy. In the end all MRA4 were cut up when the Government scrapped the project. We did sell a lot of tech to Boeing though, guess where that ended up

Duke, Steve---thanks guys. Steve, it was sad to see the MRA4 go out that way. Well, time to get some 72 scale AIM-9s going to round this build out.

Brings back a few memories.
The first job I had on leaving college was with a local firm of accountants and, unfortunately, the son of one of the partners was on the Nimrod that came down in Afghanistan.

Sorry to hear that. That was a horrible tragedy.
