Chaps, a little progress has been made . The build is now complete . I remembered Boots tip about the worn rubber tyreing . Now some of you may be thinking "great primer next", wrong next is the interesting part . More soon chaps

Joe, Pete, cheers chaps . Joe, Pete is of course absolutely right . Started last night . This isn't one large piece of gauze, it's lots a shorter pieces laid next to each other and fixed with a PVA/water mix. Not so much of a nightmare that way

Nice mate, it certainly adds a lot of interest to the model. Did one years ago but used tamiya tape for the hessian strips. Looked really good once finished.

That looks really good. I've not been very adventurous when it comes to armour, so this is all new to me.

Cheers chaps , as I am back at work this will slow down a tad. But I reckon towards the end of the week I should get some of the hessian strips in place

Okay chaps, after doing some prep work through the week, I can now show a tad on the hessian fun . I used, once again an jeans pocket, which I painted with Tamiya black. I do this this purely to see where I have added strips and where not . You can also see that I have used an older pocket that also painted with a Tamiya colour. It is however important to use acrylic colours, you'll see the reason for this later. Once the paint is dry it's advisable to go over this with some sanding paper, this takes of the furry look. Then start cutting it up into little strips, try to get different lengths and widths. Here's the first round scrimming . I attach these with cyano, make sure you only add the glue to about 2mm of the strip. Then stick them onto and into the netting. Don't worry if it looks like a hedgehog on heat , this will change later .
