Today I finished two model rockets. This first one is the Convair Atlas rocket in 1/72 scale from Horizon Models: This second one is the Mercury Redstone rocket in 1/72 scale with Friendship 7 riding atop it. This is also from Horizon Models: That is all I have for now. Thanks for looking in, comments are welcome.

A great pair of rockets Duke. How high are they in 1/72nd scale? I listened to a podcast where the guy that owns Horizon Models was talking about them.

Thanks guys! I'm so thrilled to have these in my collection.
Porco, these are about 14-16 inches in height when done and on their stands. I just wish I had the space to shoot a pic of these two rockets next to my 1/72 scale Space Shuttle with Boosters and my Saturn V to show size difference. Did the Horizon Models owner mention any future rockets in 1/72 scale? I just wish I could thank him personally for making these in 1/72 scale.
Thanks again guys!

Duke, awesome work on the Mercury and the Atlas. Great subject matter too as that's lots of history there.
Regards,
Ian

Thanks Porco. I wonder if it's possible to send these pics to him so he can see them built?

Thanks Porco. I wonder if it's possible to send these pics to him so he can see them built? They have a Facebook account. Maybe you could contact him on there. I'm not on Facebook book myself.
