Came across this on youtube, dating from about 1960, Russian military vehicle conversions, everything from Gaz jeep halftrack/ half track skis and other military vehicles converted to cross deep snow. Some weird and wonderful vehicles

Great film. The last vehicle in the line up at the start reminded me of the Trans Antarctic Expedition Snowcat.
