Hi folks. Time to build a floater again. This time is the 1/72nd scale Perkasa from Tamiya. The Hellenic Navy had two Brave class Vosper torpedo boats. They were built for the Kriegsmarine. and then transferred to HN. They were scrapped at the end of the 70s. They were P19 and P20. Astrapi ( Lightning) and Aiolos (god of winds). The only thing needed to change on the kit is the rear weapon. Instead of the Oerlicons the HN used a 40 mm Bofors. That was found after a lot of digging on the internet..... You can see it on the pics above. Here are some pics of the actual boats.

Excellent choice. I made one of these over 40 years ago. I even made a case for it. It's still up the loft.

Morning John,
Never modelled a boat, so interested to see your build. Just had a google of the kit and looks pretty good considering it’s age! Looking forward to seeing more.

Some progress has been made with this one. The deck refused to fit, but after some persuasion it is in place. Lots of other subassemblies are ready. Hopefully soon there will be another update.

Just a dry fit to see what needs to be done. Apart from some minor filling and sanding nothing much.... And it is a really old kit.

Thanks guys. I found out that Tamiya has downsized the Bofors at the front.... Nothing i can do about it, so i will just pretend i dont see that...... Everything is assembled and ready for primer.
