Ok i felt the ''need'' to build a Tiger. I 've had this kit for some years now.... and decided to build it. The kit provides PE and zimmerit. Although kind on the thick side plus the prob that the turret zimmerit has to be curved on the original parts it is still in there. We'll see what i'm gonna do about it. The tracks are link and length. This kit was bought new a few years back for 18 euros..... And here is a pic of the issue i can see with the turret's side zimmerit.

John i`ve had that same zimm before on a Tiger i built from Italeri........was long before i knew all about alternatives but i think it went on ok and weathered up alright as well, i remember just gluing-clamping-gluing-clamp..... ya get the picture ......as for thickness just run it over same course(ish) sandpaper to thin it a tad

First in, I've got a late Tiger 1, AFV Club AFV's is the best late Tiger. Did it a few years ago. Terrific kit. No problems, no issues, no "Dragonish" issues. I added ATAK Zimm.

Well ppl, main assembly is done. Tools will be added after painting and the tracks.. The kit gave me a good surprise regarding the accuracy of the turret;s design. Italeri actually have the offset front armour of the gun and the extra small part of added armour to cover the gap. Even very expensive kits lack that! PE parts are provided for the engine grilles, the side fenders and the exhaust covers. They are thin and very easy to work with. The zimeritt on the turret took some work to get it in place but nothing too serious. And the kit waiting for a coat of primer.

Thanks chaps. Base coat is on. Not the best job possible. At this point the build will stop. Let's hope it will proceed soon.

I couldn't possibly comment on the accuracy but it looks dang Tiger-ey to me my friend! Looks like the build caused no issues. Soup herb!
