Just had a bash with the darkstar metallic paints so here's my test results. First up I sprayed a bit of card with some black primer then hand painted the colours first. From the left working right we have bright steel, graphite, pewter, copper & brass. I thinned with a drop of water for each swatch and painted two coats. Firstly the pigment looks quite fine and the colours are very intense. They also go on very nicely and clean up is easy with water.
Below this I sprayed them adding a couple of drops of the darkstar thinner to each colour. Again the colours are very strong. They sprayed well, I think a bit of a experiment with paint to thinner ratios and airbrush pressure will be needed to find the sweet spot if I ever spray them but the results are encouraging. All the pictures below have not been edited so you can see the raw results.
Im impressed with the ease of use and the intensity of each colour. They can be mixed easily with each other and darkstar offer 27 different metallic colours so there's something for everyone. You can check them out here,
