Thanks chaps Seems like an age since I did anything on this, but finally got the opportunity to get some primer and a base coat of Ruski-greenski on the T34. Cracked open a fresh jar of Mr Primer surfacer and had a squirt....god it stinks but oh so smooth !
Then a coat of 4BO from a Mig Ammo modulation set, the darkest colour first...
Will leave it to cure for a bit then I’ll chuck some more paint at it

Cheers gents, glad you like how it’s going. I don’t do ruski stuff very often so it’ll be a nice test bed for weathering and stuff. Anyway......I got busy with the paint and built up the highlights, daringly high at present but I know the weathering will balance it. Here’s some pics So this is the first of the lighter coats....
Then there are two more lighter colours...
also cut a stencil for a turret number....I have decals but fancy trying this . thanks for your support gents, much appreciated

Are you using the Gunze "Color Modulation Set Russian Green" ? It certainly does give you some range in the colour , looking good Si

That's something I really like! Well done mate, and like you said: those highlights will be toned down a lot after weathering.
This is getting better and better ^^

Evening gents, Well I’ve made a little more progress with the T34. The stencil was a successful and went without a hitch. . Then it’s had a filter to tone it down then some oils to fade the paint. I’ve not done weathering this way round before so let’s see how this goes o.O
Needs to dry for a bit now so will be getting back to the 223
