Wow That is going to take things to a new level , specially on the comp tables They certainly do look nice and I’d be tempted to pick a kit based on whether they were available. Unfortunately nothing for my my Tamiya Mossie.

At least Eduard has some serious competition now. The 3D decals looks way better.

Had to be a downside.
At prices like that think of the kits you might pass on
Still, if these are the first others might get involved and in due course prices will tend to come down....... I hope

Certainly not cheap but I’d say reasonable considering the scale and how much of a focal point the cockpit is on a modern jet fighter.

Very true Jab's but as we all know, very little is visible when we close up the fuselage. So it is a balancing act, the builder knows its 3d and squezy but if it ain't that visible?
Same as fully detailed tank interior in my opinion. You knowing it's there when others can't see it seems pointless unless you have every hatch and engine cover open or do a "Nemo" exploded view.

Certainly agree with tank interiors. For aircraft I think it depends. A WWII fighter, I don’t see that being worth it. A 1\48 modern jet, then I can definitely see the appeal. Having just watched a review of the new Italeri 1/32 Tornado, yes please. Edit: For doing things you won’t see a couple of days ago I superglued some pie foil to the underside of the wings behind the lights. I know they’re there!

Thing is, you might not see the foil as such, but the effect it creates makes the lights look more realistic. It's the reflective quality through the clear plastic that matters.

Jabs, Tim, don't get too involved in this matter. It's all just personal preference, and if this range gets larger, be it WWI WWII or modern, I for sure will give it a go. I have often enough built stuff that will never be seen, and there's nothing wrong with saying "I know it's there". Also I have built a few things and said to myself, sod it no bugger will know if it isn't in there (e.g. Miniart )

As Paul says it’s all personal preference so I did look at some weighted wheels for the Mossie and to me I do think they look better but do I think they’re worth £8 or so. Nah, I’ll stick with the kit ones. For things you won’t see, over at MilMod someone filled the ejector marks on the bottom of some fenders and this was for a tank with side skirts.
