Hi All
As soon as I spotted this kit online I knew I had to make it. Unfortunately it was a discontinued item and was hard to find, until I stumbled across one in an American hobby shop website. Transaction completed and then a 4 week wait for it to arrive.
The detail of the kit is great, all resin and PE. Unfortunately there was a lot of warping and bad joins, so a lot of fettling was required. Well it was worth the effort as it really did come up a treat and as mentioned before the detail is really crisp.
I used AK paints to create a colour modulation on the airframe and a wood and leather kit was used for the figure and wooden floorboard. This model, like my other early figures were finished before I really knew about doing filters / washes etc. I'm tempted to go back, but I'm thinking I will just leave them as is and when i do future ones it will be good to compare the difference.
Although it was a tough build in some respects, I'm glad I hung in there.
