Yes indeed a huge improvement with the etch especially those roof channels.

Morning Gents, Thanks ever so for looking in, much appreciated Managed a little more bench time yesterday afternoon. First thing I had to do was have a quick sort out of the work area! In between plastic shavings, dust, tools and instructions it had all got a bit messy! A quick tidy and wipe down, a mug of tea and ready for more business..... Got some more bits done yesterday afternoon. Lost track of where I’m up too, so I’ve just taken a picture from each side
Still plenty to do, maybe get some time after lunch.....thoroughly enjoying this golden oldie

Lovely Si . Try to dodge the washing up, then you'll have a little build time

Thanks chaps Got a little more time yesterday and tackled the exhausts, fire extinguisher and jack. Apparently the tail pipes should curve back round under the silencer. The kit has them at 90 degrees to the silencer...
so they got chopped a bit. Cut off the tailpipes and replace with some plastic rod that was heated up, curved round and drilled out. A jacket of pewter was added to the silencer to create a flanged edge
The jack had the moulded on straps removed and replace.
scratched an extinguisher to put into the holder....
that’s it for now.....hopefully more soon, not much left to do now

Looking good. I love the fact that some of these older kits can be vastly improved with a decent set of poto etch. Have you got some of the recently release resin clasps? Sure saves fidling away with those pesky PE ones!

I use Aber PE clasps as I find them relatively easy to assemble. Needed one for the shovel on the 223....
