Hi Si, when I read a while ago that Simon T passed away a piece of MilMod fell away, so sad. Glad to see you building some to commemorate the chap as well. Love how this one looks so far, can't go wrong with a bit of etch for me

firstly, let me wish you all a happy new year Hoping this year will see a return to normality for all of us....whatever normal may be It’s great to have your interest and your mighty fine appraisal once again gents . So the last few days I’ve been tinkering around with the radio antenna as I want to try and model it in the lowered position. The concept has worked , but it needs a little modification before it will go flat...
thanks again for your continued encouragement, very much appreciated .

Good to see some New Year modelling stuff. I like where this goes, I never realized they could lower the antenna, very cool!

Yes a happy new year to you as well. Cracking idea to show the antenna lowered and perfectly executed I'd say.

Si, great work here. Also fantastic job with the retraction on the antenna. I had no idea those could move. Very cool!

Thanks chaps I spent a few hours scouring the net for everything I could find on these vehicles and came across loads of pictures with the antenna down. For discussion purposes....

You always see them modelled with it up so will make something a bit different with it down
