Thanks Paul, Boots, Steve, Tommy, Marco and, Pete. Cheers chaps. Canopy masked and held in place with Formula 560 canopy glue. Hopefully, I'll get it finished at the weekend.

Get her done Joe . She's looking awesomely awesome fella . I'm having a few set backs at the moment, the major one is the (artificial) sponge masking I used for the undercarriage bays. It fekin' melted around the edges where the primer hit, it means I'm gonna have to scrape the shyte off and repaint a few bitz .

Thanks Ian, Pete, and, Paul.
That's a bummer Paul. Nothing worse than something going wrong at the paint stage. I normally paint the canopy before I put it in place. I was cutting corners by not masking the inside. I'll be annoyed with myself if I find some paint has somehow found it's way in. I looked with a magnifying glass to make sure there was no gaps and couldn't see any.

Yes chaps, the melted sponge was a huge surprise indeed. I don't know why I didn't check the masking earlier, usually the sponge stuff drops off during handling but not this time, I even thought "why hasn't that dropped out yet" but just ingnored it . Anyway, the scum has been removed and the paint will touched up soon. Today, apart from scraping melted sponge, was quite enjoyable. I sprayed the Lichtblau, then had a pint to let let it dry off . Then I went back in with the mottling, first off the Grauviolett, then another pint . After that had dried off, came the Schwarzgrün ..... and yes another pint . Once that had dried a quick masking was made around the air-intakes/exhaust area and sprayed with Tamiya matt black. I'll let this cure until tomorrow now, then I'll see what to do next Oh by the way, I cheated with the mottling ..... I have an etched masking set for that .

Muchly appreciated Pete . The stencil certainly is a good asset to have, after all I wouldn't ever ever keep up with Joe and yourself trying this free hand

Paul, that looks gorgeous. I had heard great things about the PE mottle masks so I will have to get a set. Better yet, I think I need a -190 as well. Thanks, Paul.😂

Ian, murky buckets sire . The etch mottling sets are very good, they are however a tad scary to use. I cut mine out and then gave it a good sanding around the edges to smooth it off. Otherwise you have some very sharp bits that could damage the previously painted parts. Also I will gladly take the blame for you purchasing a 190
