You are right Joe I certainly forgot how old these "new" kits from tamiya actually are. As a side note I just found some old pictures of the A3 version I built way back in 2007!

You and me both Boots . I thought, Good Lord, Petes finished already! No flat tyre on that one. Looks great Pete. I got my finger out today and got on with it. As you can see, I've made a bit of progress. I don't think that fooled anyone.

Damn, foiled again. You noticed this was the version with four cannons.
Nice progress Paul. I see you sorted out the cowling. I think Pete will be hot on our heels soon.

Joe yes . Not only the cowling needed help, the wing roots also and I had to remove a tad from the carburetor too . To help with cleaning the wing roots I chopped the 20 mills off also. But that ain't a problem, I have some fitting syringe needles in the stash for replacements

LMFAO , guess what I have in the stash Cheers Pete . I have dipped the canopy parts in Humbrol clear, with any luck they'll be dry tomorrow, then I can mask them and get the primer on

Paul, glad you sorted out the cowl and the wing roots. Good idea about the syringe needles. What a good idea, cant believe I never thought of that! I could have got loads before I retired! 🙄 Looks like you've already got a 262 in your stash ready and waiting. 😁 Pete, enjoy your beers. It's not bad for a 18 year old kit. Looks like your mucker already has one. Not as much progress as I had hoped for. The instrument panel is in place with a few blobs of paint on the side consoles. The seat is ready for the harness, which I hope to get done soon. I'm going to mask the tyre instead of the hubs. I think this should give me a better edge from the masking tape.

Nice office colouring Joe . I'll watch how your idea about masking the tyre works, I'll probably go the other way about them though

Nice one Joe looking very nice indeed. Paul, yeap that's me now having to get one I think! Here's the obligatory primer shot. I'm running short of pure grey so mixed some white in to make it go further! Painting possibly boxing day once I work out the RLM codes and tamiya paint mixes!
