Thank you Boots. That's looking great Pete Looks like your made a top job putting the decals on. The spinner decal looks excellent. I always leave the canopy until last. Don't know why, I used to build real canopies for a living before I retired. Your construction looks good Paul. Even with a missing part, your still miles in front of me. So to sum it up, Pete has painted the camouflage on his 190 and, put the stickers on. Paul has finished the majority of the main construction. And I've painted the wheel hubs! 🙄 Still, looking on the bright side, I can assemble the undercarriage legs now. 😁 STOP PRESS. In the time it's taken me to upload this, I noticed Paul had painted the canopy interior. Good one Paul.

Thank you Paul. Both Ammo Mig, Satin Black (0032) and, Rubber & Tires (0033). I've just used Mig paints so far. But I'm not risking the Lucky Varnish again!

Smashing work chaps, Joe really like the attention to detail you have achieved on the tyres they do look smart. Paul lucky you with kit supplied masks for the canopy, my kit did not have that. I've just done my canopy so I'll post up some pics this evening after work.

Thanks awfully Ian, Boots, Pete and, Marco. I've given the wings another coat of paint top and bottom. I'll glue these together now, and get them ready for a coat of varnish. I won't risk using the ammo mig again as it come off like a skin when I tried it on the M-51 I just made. I looked on the internet, and it seems other people have experienced the same problem. Anyways, I was thinking of using a Vallejo Varnish. I've used it before and found it went on fine. I just don't know if it will react when I spray it on top of the ammo mig paint. I'll use the horizontal stabilisers as a test piece, and spray it on them. That way I won't have much to put right if it all goes horrible wrong! The undercarriage have been assembled. I might tone them down a bit, I'll see how they look on the finished model. The engine nacelles have been glued together and given a coat of primer. I've also taped the fuselage halves together with the cockpit and, front nose weight in place just to see how it all fits.

Looking very nice indeed Joe . I have been using Revell Aqua gloss nr.01 for years now, it gives an excellent base coat for washes and decals. Also till date, I have never had a bad reaction with it. I have used it on Tamiya, Vallejo, Mig, AK, Mission Models, and Mr Hobby/Gunze acrylics. Also I have used it over Mr Hobby/Gunze and AK Lacquer based paints, and over oils once dried. Maybe you should give it a try . Edit: The Fw190 is now primed and sitting in the cellar drying off .

Thank you Paul. I'll definitely give that a go when my LHS opens again. I'm in a tier 4 area, so everything is pretty much shut down. What thinners do you recommend to use with it? The best varnish and paint I ever used was Aeromaster Acrylics. I used to polish the paint to a gloss finish to put the decals on. A superb paint.
